The Colorado ESGR Committee presented 9 local employers Statements of Support prior to a Military, Guard, Reserve, Veteran and Military Spouse focused hiring event at Mt Carmel Veterans Service Center in Colorado Springs on April 29th.
Mark Lilevjen the Pikes Peak Area Chair and former Colorado State Chair provided opening comments and presented the SoS’s to the employers. Jon Dix and Sean Sindler were assisting Mark with the presentations. Jon was instrumental in contacting the employers to gauge interest in accepting a SoS.
Colorado Springs Utilities a 2013 Freedom Award Winner (Public Sector) accepting the SoS is Travas Deal the CEO.
Valiant Staffing (CEO) (will get one for each office) accepting the SoS is CEO Colin Jack and recruiter Erik Cruz; retired Colorado National Guard.
Mt Carmel VSC (Executive Director) Executive Director Bob Mclaughlin and Transition and Employment Perr Navigator Mai Ali; Colorado National Guard.
Grand Canyon University Military Admissions; Ty Upshaw.

Infinity Systems Engineering a 2022 Freedom Award Winner (Large) accepting the SoS is Senior Technical Recruiter; Ms. Amanda Lujan.
Rapid Ascent Executive Director, IT / Cybersecurity Transition; Kim Archer, Allie Smith, Sunny Shaffer, and Jon Dix was the presenter. Due to scheduling the presentation was made at the VBC networking Event.

On Saturday April 25th, 2026, Colorado ESGR held their annual APAM event at JFHQ. This is our annual event where we celebrate our dedicated volunteers who support our mission and our Guard and Reservists.

ESGR has the best volunteers and we couldn’t execute our mission without them!
