Traffic Alert: Traffic Shifts Begin June 15 on E. Arapahoe Rd. ⚠️

Beginning overnight Monday, June 15, motorists can expect changing traffic patterns on E. Arapahoe Road between S. Peoria Street and S. Potomac Street. Lanes will be narrowed to 10 ft and shifted south as crews begin to construct the Lone Tree Creek Trail underpass on the north side of the roadway.

Monday night through Thursday night, alternating single and double lane closures will be in place on E. Arapahoe Road to restripe the roadway and set concrete barriers.

Starting Monday night and continuing for the duration of the project, all left-turn movements at the intersection of E. Arapahoe Road and S. Revere Parkway will be restricted and motorists cannot proceed straight on S. Revere Parkway across E. Arapahoe Road. Only right-turn movements will be maintained for the duration of construction.

** Motorists are encouraged to use S. Peoria Street or S. Potomac Street as alternate travel routes. **

Three lanes of traffic will remain open in each direction on E. Arapahoe Road during peak daytime travel hours. Visit COTrip.org for real-time lane closure updates and road conditions on this project and others throughout the state.

How We Started 💙💛

Twenty-five years ago, residents came together to create something extraordinary: a City built around local control, community values and a shared vision for the future.

Since 2001, Centennial has grown into one of Colorado's most vibrant communities—not by accident, but through thousands of decisions made by residents, businesses, community partners and local leaders working toward a common goal.

Our Next 25 video reflects on where we've been, what we've accomplished together and where we're headed next!

From our community-driven beginnings to transformative projects like Midtown Centennial and the future home of Denver Summit FC, the story of Centennial continues to be written by the people who call it home.

The first 25 years built the foundation—The next 25 starts now!✨

Roads, sidewalks, traffic signals and trails don’t maintain themselves.

They require ongoing investment and long-term planning to stay safe and reliable as they age.

Centennial is working to plan ahead for the infrastructure residents rely on every day.

As concerns continue around the unsafe use of e-bikes and e-motorcycles on streets and trails, this video is a reminder that riders must follow traffic laws, stay alert and operate at safe speeds.

Parents are encouraged to ensure young riders understand where these vehicles can be used and the safety expectations that come with them.

The City, in partnership with the Arapahoe County Sheriff's Office and regional partners, supports education and safe riding practices. More information is available at arapahoeco.gov/SlowMovingVehicles
