As the City of Celina celebrates its 150th anniversary, we’re inviting the community to help tell the next chapter of our story.

Through the Story Book Trail at Old Celina Park, the City is looking to showcase the creativity of our residents by publishing original works from local writers of all ages. Whether it’s a short story about Celina, a favorite memory from our community’s past, a reflection on what makes this city special, or a creative poem inspired by life in Celina - we want to hear your voice.

This opportunity is open to the entire Celina community, and we encourage writers, storytellers, students, families, and longtime residents to participate in this unique part of the 150th anniversary celebration.

To be considered, simply submit an original piece 300 words or less to the Celina Public Library. Selected submissions will be published and installed along the Story Book Trail at Old Celina Park, allowing visitors and families to read and enjoy the stories as they walk the trail. The first set of stories will be published in May, with new stories added throughout the year as part of the City’s 150th anniversary celebration.

Your words can become part of a shared experience that celebrates our history, our creativity, and the spirit of our community.

Submission Guidelines:
300 words or less
Open to all Celina residents
Stories can be emailed to: [email protected]
Or dropped off at the front desk of the Celina Public Library

Join us in celebrating 150 years of Celina and help write a story that others will discover along the trail.

Last week, we successfully migrated from one library software to another, and we are (mostly) back to regular services. Your Libby and Hoopla may require you to re-login, with your library card number, and your new 4-digit PIN, which is either the last 4 digits of your library card, or the last 4 digits of the phone number. Please try both to see which works for you. If neither work, you can verify your PIN at the front desk with your photo ID.
