Happy National Library Week! 📚✨From April 19 to 25, we celebrate the vital role libraries, librarians, and library workers play in transforming lives and strengthening our communities.

Travel the world—and the libraries of New Jersey—at Parsippany Library's Lake Hiawatha Branch this week 🌏 The library is celebrating International Children's Book Week with a little help from fellow members of the Main Library Alliance.

📚 36 libraries in Main contributed children's and YA books to a massive display at Lake Hiawatha as part of International Children's Book Week, an award-winning program developed by Children's Librarian Kellyanne Healey to celebrate books created by or first published in countries other than the United States.

🤝 Main libraries share their collections to expand users' access to millions of items, including books, e-books, audiobooks, movies, music, and video games. Cardholders at Main libraries can use their library card at 67 library locations.

🔍 Visit Lake Hiawatha to see how many different Main libraries' books you can find among the hundreds on display—and don't forget to check some out while you're there!

Our Youth Services librarians previewed upcoming children’s and YA titles on Friday at Main’s Youth Book Buzz! Expect to see many of these exciting reads on library shelves in 2026.

Last but certainly not least: It’s Roxbury 🗺️ Our final stop on Trevor Tour 2025 is the Roxbury Township Public Library, which is an official U.S. passport facility. They’ll even take your photo!

Main’s Director of Library Systems, Trevor Diamond, has traveled all over New Jersey this summer visiting Main member libraries. No passport was required—but if he needed one, Roxbury has him covered.
