I am a lifelong resident of Black Hawk County, I am proud to have attended Waterloo East High School and the University of Northern Iowa. My vision for Black Hawk County is to make it a place where people not only choose to live, but thrive. To do this, we must focus on creating a community that is welcoming, vibrant, and supportive for all of its residents. Whether you're a young family, a retire
e, or someone starting their career, Black Hawk County should be a place where everyone feels they have the opportunity to succeed and contribute. To achieve this, we must make educated decisions that are informed by the needs of our community, the realities of our budget, and a clear understanding of what will help us grow in the long term. We must prioritize policies that encourage job growth, education, and access to critical services, while also making sure we protect the values that make Black Hawk County a special place to live. Our resources are limited, and it’s essential that we manage them wisely to ensure that our investments today will benefit the community tomorrow. Whether it's funding for public services, infrastructure improvements, or support for local businesses, we must make sure that every dollar is spent with careful consideration for both current needs and future opportunities. By making educated and responsible decisions, we can create a county that not only meets the needs of today, but also builds a strong foundation for future generations. A place that people want to call home—where opportunity, safety, and well-being are priorities for all.
