Yesterday was a special day. A nice surprise, and something folks who've been following since Hurricane Helene can appreciate. My good friend and partner Nick Hiteshew from Wilmington Response, was traveling through
Georgia for the day, and we got to catch up after a year +.

Nick and his crew were instrumental in the response and recovery of those impacted by Hurricane Helene back in 2024. From WNC to ETN and everywhere in between, Wilmington Response and other organizations like ours at Task Force Mountain collaborated and worked tirelessly to fill in the gap where government failed.

I couldn't be more proud of the connections we at TFM INC made during those early days. Of course, there were snakes, crooks, and junkies along the way, but we stick with the winners. It's comforting to know that some of these organizations are still active in the business of helping others and saving lives.

Check Nick and Wilmington Response out if you're in The South or North Carolina. He's a trusted and vetted brother that'll be by your side.

The 10th Mountain Division & The Triangle of Death:

If you were deployed around 2006-2008, this is a must read.

IYKYK. A wild deployment and a great piece detailing our work in 2BCT 10th Mountain Division.
None Left Behind: The 10th Mountain Division and the Triangle of Death, by Charles W. Sasser (2009/2010), is a true account of 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 10th Mountain Division’s brutal 2006–2007 deployment to the Triangle of Death south of Baghdad—especially Delta Company, 4-31 Infantry (“Polar Bears”) under LTC Mike Infanti.
The area (Mahmudiyah–Yusufiyah–Lutifiyah, along the Euphrates) was one of the deadliest in Iraq, with constant IEDs, ambushes, and al-Qaeda activity; over a thousand of the war’s U.S. deaths occurred there. Delta got the worst stretch of Route Malibu and took daily hits. On 12 May 2007, insurgents ambushed two Humvees, killing four soldiers and an Iraqi interpreter and capturing three (Spc. Alex Jimenez, Pfc. Byron Fouty, and Pvt. Joseph Anzack Jr.). The book centers on the relentless year-plus search under the creed “None Left Behind,” the psychological toll, and the unit’s refusal to quit.

🇺🇸 BREAK IN CASE OF WAR 🇺🇸

Some stories deserve to be told by the people who actually lived them.

We’re proud to announce that the official trailer for Break in Case of War is coming soon.

This documentary is more than a film. It’s about the men, the brotherhood, the sacrifices, the dark humor, the memories, and the stories that followed us home.

A huge thank you to Cameron Cushman and Mark Kershaw for giving us the opportunity to tell our story and for putting in the work to make sure it’s told the right way.

From Veteran Trash Talk and Gruntworks, we’re damn proud to be a part of this.

And we’re just getting started.

OFFICIAL TRAILER COMING SOON. 🇺🇸🪂
