In October 2018, Carson City became the 76th Bee City USA affiliate in the nation, and the first in the state – setting an example for the rest of Nevada to choose to promote pollinator populations too.

Tip #4: Don’t move firewood. Instead, buy it where you’ll burn it, or gather on site when permitted. Moving firewood from location to location, or across state lines can spread harmful tree damaging insects.

Tip #3: Avoid dumping aquariums or live bait into waterways. Even though Nevada is one of the driest states in the U.S., we're not immune to aquatic invasive issues! Things like Zebra Mussels and Eurasian Watermilfoil cause extensive problems in our waterways. This is why its important to clean your aquatic recreation equipment for plants and animals as well!
