Kathleen Reddington for Carpinteria I am proud of my work as a Carpinteria City Council member and of the Council's accomplishments over the last four years. We banned single use bags.

This council defeated Paredon, acquired public parklands, including the Tomol Children’s Park. We got Caltrans to listen to our concerns about the Casitas Pass and Linden bridges, and curbed the use of toxic pesticides in the city. But our work is far from finished. I am running for a second term and if I am elected again, I will continue to:

- Protect us from oil exploration and overdevelopm

ent.
- Encourage a sustainable community and smart growth.
- Provide increased recreational activities for our youth and seniors.
- Support traffic solutions including alternative transportation. I will defend Carpinteria with commitment, passion and energy while safeguarding our community for future generations. I respectfully ask for your vote to help preserve Carpinteria today and tomorrow.

Going to First Friday next week? I will be!
I'm looking forward to getting out and seeing old friends and meeting new friends. I'd love to talk or answer any questions you may have about Carpinteria, our lovely beach town, and even about my election campaign for city council.

The campaign is underway. The task is to gather support, endorsements, funding and win this election. Thus far my endorsements include; State Representative Das Williams, the Sierra Club, Santa Barbara County Democratic Party and Second District Supervisor Janet Wolf.

In the up coming weeks, I will be visiting, canvassing, meeting and greeting folks. I look forward to speaking with you and hearing your concerns for the future of Carpinteria. This is our time to sit and talk about our city. I sincerely hope you will think about the issues and I look forward to our correspondence. My goal is to work for you to keep Carpinteria our sweet home town by the sea!
