Soroptimist International of Cape May County

The local chapter of Soroptimist International. Our local club is associated and supports the local chapters of C.A.R.A.

This is an organization of professional women whose focus is the empowerment of women and young girls in Cape May County Soroptimist International of Cape May County is part of a global organization working to improve the lives of women all over the world focusing on issues such as education, human trafficking and domestic abuse. (Coalition for Rape and Abuse), Cape Assist and creates fundraisers

for our awards and scholarships given to local students and struggling women to help with their education. SICMC offers a conference for young women in 5th and 6th grade that focuses on empowerment and reaching goals. Girlz Rule is free and offers breakfast, lunch, 3 workshops and a keynote speaker.

APRIL BUSINESS MEETING

Date: Tuesday, April 21st, 2026

Location: Shore Club located
1170 Golf Club Rd, Cape May Courthouse on April 21st.

Mix and Mingle will start at 5:30 with dinner at 6pm followed by our meeting.

House wines will be $10 which includes gratuity. Cocktails also include gratuity.

Choose from Entrees:
Chicken Marsala
Flounder Francaise
Vegetarian gluten free (chefs choice)

Dinners include salad, rolls, starch, vegetable and chef's choice of dessert. Coffee or tea also.

The Cost is $45. Pay with Credit Card at no additional cost, check or cash.

Our usual cancellation policy will be in effect.

There will be a table set up for you to purchase your fashion show tickets if you have not already done so.

Look at this awesome group attending Dining for Dollars at Dog Tooth Bar and Grill in Wildwood! We are very thankful for this opportunity and the funds will help to support the SICMC educational awards and more.

Last week we inducted a new member! Welcome to SICMC! We also welcomed Alana Madonado to speak about the mission and necessity of services like The Branches Outreach to provide food, personal care and support to those in need in Cape May County with dignity and respect.

The Ladies of SICMC here are supporting Our Part Food Program at the Mudhen Brewing Company. This program provides food for children for the weekend when school meals are unavailable. The program has provided over 32,000 bags of food for children in need. We are proud to support this wonderful program!

Our usual cancellation policy will be in effect, but we are lucky at the Lobster House they do give us some leeway with their cancellation policy.

We ask your consideration, if you are feeling ill or coughing etc. please do not attend this meeting. Flu like viruses are running rampart in NJ and we want to avoid contact with any germs we can avoid.

The season of giving is in full swing! Our President, Mary Rose Bispels, proudly presented a $500 check to Dana Markovitz, Student Council Advisor and Guidance Counselor at Lower Cape May Regional School, to support the Stockings for Students Program.

The Soropti-Elves are busy again spreading hope this season with 25 bags of comfort with our Hugs for Health program to MD Anderson Cancer Center's Cooper Radiation Oncology.

Our Soropti-Elves have been busy spreading holiday magic, and we are delighted to donate $1000 to C.A.R.A to help the fight against domestic violence.
