Please be advised that FM 2673 will be closed in Startzville on Saturday, July 4th for the Startzville Fourth of July Parade. The road closure will be in effect from 9:50 AM until the parade ends, which will be no later than noon.

Commissioner's Court recap 6/18/26:

Beginning 6/18, the County began hosting the first of 5 meetings for public input for the road improvement program. There is a QR code for the meetings on the county website if you can't make them.

Screwworm report: Comal is not a county of concern at this point.

Tax-Assessor's and Treasurer's monthly reports approved.

Agreement signed with FEMA to have access to IPAWS, (which is a federal program used to send emergency notifications to the public).

The Sheriff's Office received a grant for law enforcement equipment. Per law, any money not utilized was returned to the State.

We're keeping an eye on the weather as we move through this extreme heat warning. According to the National Weather Service, there's a risk for excessive rainfall both late tonight and Friday into Friday night. Multiple rounds of heavy rain could develop and move through our area, with rain rates potentially exceeding 2 inches per hour at times.
There's considerable uncertainty in how this will unfold, but we want our community to stay aware. We'll keep you updated as conditions change.
