Impact Canton will be held tomorrow, June 6, bringing together volunteers from across the community to complete neighborhood improvement projects.

As part of the event, 19th Street NE between Rowland Avenue NE and Maple Avenue NE will be closed from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Residents will continue to have access to their homes, and staff and volunteers will be onsite throughout the day to assist with local traffic and ensure safe access in and out of the area.

The Stark County Minority Business Association will host the Shop the Block: Summer Social on Saturday, June 13, from 2:00–7:00 p.m. at The Kirk Schuring Marketplace, 500 10th St. NW in Canton.

The event will feature local vendors, great food, live entertainment, family-friendly activities, giveaways, and opportunities to connect with local businesses and community organizations.

Admission is free and no RSVP is required. Vendor spaces are still available for businesses, entrepreneurs, artisans, and community groups interested in showcasing their products or services. Vendor applications can be submitted through the link in the comments below.

Pre-movie entertainment begins at 6:15 p.m., hosted by Q92 and Nikolina the DJ Diva. Grab a beverage to-go from a nearby downtown restaurant, and enjoy popcorn and candy available for purchase in the Plaza.
