What an incredible day at this year’s Northern Adirondack Regional Envirothon, held Tuesday at the beautiful Paul Smith’s Visitor Interpretive Center!
Envirothon is a hands‑on, environmentally focused competition where high school students put their knowledge of aquatics, forestry, soils, wildlife, and a rotating current issue to the test. Our regional event brings together schools from Essex, Clinton, Franklin, and St. Lawrence Counties, with county winners advancing to the New York State Envirothon and state champions moving on to nationals! 🐟🌲🪱🦫
This event is always a highlight of the year. It’s inspiring to watch students apply what they’ve learned, challenge themselves, and have a blast doing it.
A huge congratulations to our St. Lawrence County champions: “Bear Necessities” from Canton Central School! They’ll be representing the county at the State Competition at SUNY Cortland at the end of May!
We also want to recognize two Potsdam Central teams who earned the highest scores in individual station topics, amazing work!
Thank you to all who participated, supported, and cheered on these students.
We can’t wait to see you all next year!
📢 We are always looking for new schools in our county to join! Please help us spread the word and reach out if you know a school that may be interested!
