Last Wednesday I participated in a group call with MUSH (Mohawks United in Safety and Health). They are our neighbors and allies who have been working with us to help us understand the proposed Massena 207-26 zoning amendment. If this amendment is passed, the zoning code would allow data centers into the industrial area. We are hoping that Massena officials will reject the zoning proposal as written and/or amend it to have further restrictions for data centers.

I am pleased to hear that the Canton Town Board has voted in favor of a moratorium of data center development, and hope that other towns in SLC will do the same.

"Last month, a Reuters/Ipsos poll found 77% of US adults worry that AI-driven data centers will raise electricity costs. More than half (57%) also said they would oppose a data center being built in their community."

Wonderful day celebrating our Nation's 250th anniversary with two parades, one in Morristown then a fast scoot over to Norwood for the second parade there!! Both parades showed the presence of my fellow legislative candidates from all over SLC, and we all received positive responses from the parade spectators. 😀

After the parades, we were able to spend time with family, swimming in the pool, enjoying Wayne's summer BBQ, and ooooohhhhing at some beautiful fireworks.

Of course, a day spent with Amelia is not complete without a wildlife interaction. We had to stop along the Pike Road to assist a man with a turtle crossing.
