Congratulations to our Corky Guthrie golf tournament winners!! This year we had a tie for 1st place! Congratulations to Gary, Tricia, Braden and Blaze; and also Evan, Halie, Ryan, Linzy and Jeannita!!

Thank you to everyone who came out and supported our tournament!! Because of you, we were able to give a $5000 scholarship to a high school senior!!

Stay Weather AWARE

We've got some cumulus clouds building in the eastern Panhandles. While we only may not see much in coverage for the thunderstorms today we do expect something to develop in the next 1 to 3 hours (between 4 and 7pm). If a storm develops it will have the potential to be strong to possibly severe, with damaging winds and large hail as the primary threats.

🚨 SENDOFF ROUTE CHANGE 🚨

Due to safety concerns with the intersection of Giraud and 2nd St, the send off route for track and softball will be altered. Leave the HS south on 5th to Cedar. Cedar to 4th to Mesa View. Back to 4th to CES, then 6thst past Schools to Main, to 2nd st and out of town.

We have the best group of dispatchers I have ever had the pleasure to work with. The level of professionalism is beyond reproach. The way they all do the job is exceptional. I can only say thank you to each and every dispatcher at the Hemphill County dispatch center. I can only say that because words escape me to describe the excellent job they do every day and night. Thank you all again!

At the Hemphill County Sheriff’s Office, our Telecommunications Officers are the calm voice in the middle of chaos. They handle every call with professionalism, integrity, and consistently demonstrate a high level of skill in even the most stressful situations.

From coordinating emergency response to providing life-saving instructions, their work is critical to the safety of our community and the success of our deputies and first responders.

Their commitment does not go unnoticed.
