Lewiston to begin search for its next Police Chief; community input matters.
City Administrator Bryan Kaenrath announced that the process to name a new Police Chief will include a broad search, guidance from a local advisory committee, and input from the community.
Residents are invited to comment on qualities, thoughts they value most in Lewiston’s next top law enforcement leader at the Community Input Session:

The five-member Advisory Committee will include the city administrator, a representative from Lewiston Public Schools, a member with a law enforcement background, and two community members. Together, they’ll help review applications and provide input throughout the process.
Under Lewiston’s City Charter, the city administrator appoints the Police Chief.
