Hello to all, I just wanted to go ahead and start posting info about the event!

This will be an authentic living history event about the 25th Michigan infantry, more importantly Co. F, and their evacuation of Tebbs Bend after the battle fought on July 4th 1863. There will be more info on the History side of things in the coming weeks. The event organizers ,those being Taylor Bishop, Scott Johnson and Matthew Mallory, are wanting to raise a 30 or so man company, to show the public the accurate strength of Co. F as a whole.

The event will allow for a civilian contingent, of which is in the works, and many other aspects which will be covered.

The whole idea for this event is to raise money for the historic Sublett house, which was used as a Hospital after the battle. The Sublett Family is graciously donating the house to the Tebbs Bend Battlefield Association. It is left up to the association to help restore the house to it’s former glory. If possible I would love to raise at least $2,000 dollars from this event and help preserve this piece of local history!

It should also be noted that this is the first time in about 158 years that the house plus the same camp ground will be used again. More info to come on that!

So with that said reach out to your authentic minded pards and help grow this event!
