On 18 April 2021, Battery R 5/10, 1st Battalion, 10th Marines conducts live fire operations in support of Rolling Thunder 21.2. This is the first live fire of an organic High Mobility Artillery Rocket System (HIMARS) in 10th Marines. On 8 March 2021, LCpl Louis Moran and LCpl William Clendenen’s, Marines from FSCC (Fire Support Coordination Cell), HQ Battery, 10th Marines were presented with a Certificate of Commendation (CertComm) for superior performance of their duties. On January 6th, 2021; The Marines responded to a vehicle rollover on Lejeune Boulevard in Jacksonville, NC. Upon witnessing the incident, the LCpl Moran and LCpl Clenden immediately reacted to the incident, communicated details of the accident with emergency services, and utilized their personal vehicle to block oncoming traffic in order to allow for the victims to be safely moved and properly triaged. The Marines pulled a victim from the flipped vehicle, transported the crash victims to safety in the median area, and began providing immediate care and comfort. Once emergency responders arrived, the Marines assisted in passing out water and bandages to the crash victims. LCpl Moran and LCpl Clendenen’s quick thinking, adaptability and perseverance reflected credit upon them and were in keeping with the highest traditions of the United States Marine Corps.

BZ to former SSgt James Martin, a 10th Marines veteran chosen as a Super Bowl LV Honorary Captain! Martin was recognized for his work supporting his community in the Pittsburgh area.

The veterans advocate is one of three honorees who will be on the field Sunday for the coin flip.

Colonel James “J.P.” McDonough III, USNA Class of 1994, was recently selected to become the 89th Commandant of Midshipmen of the Naval Academy!

“I am truly honored and humbled to have been selected for this position and am excited to join the great team at the Naval Academy,” said McDonough. “I look forward to the opportunity to help shape the Brigade of Midshipmen as they become the future leaders of the Navy and Marine Corps.”
