Harvard College VISION Harvard College VISION aims to inspire interest in global health and empower youth to become the next generation of civically-minded leaders.

We organize the Global Health and Leadership Conference at Harvard each year. We are a group of students at Harvard College in Cambridge, MA determined to combat the status quo of vision related care. Starting as EYESee Harvard College, we aimed to improve the quality of life of people in developing countries who couldn't see because they couldn't afford glasses. We hoped that by providing these g

lasses, we could remove at least one of the barriers in these people's ways. This works well however, we recently decided we wanted to do more since this problem doesn't only occur in developing countries. Thus, Harvard VISION began. We aim to expand EYESee past only collecting and donating glasses into an initiative that will additionally provide free vision screenings to at risk areas in the Boston area. Excitedly, we have been working hard to make our vision alive but, we need your help. We need funds to continue to ship our glasses overseas for EYESee and to make our expansion successful. For VISION, we need to have funds to allow us to broadcast our message through ads to at-risk areas and ideally provide support to people who take our free vision screening test and need glasses but, financially cannot afford them. Your help will mean a lot to us because it means we are one step closer to providing vision improvement to someone who otherwise couldn't see to the best of their ability. Keynote Session with Dr. Sylvia Kehlenbrink, M.D., is an Endocrinologist and the Director of Global Endocrinology at Brigham and Women’s Hospital. She is also an Instructor at Harvard Medical School and directs the Non-Communicable Diseases in Conflict Program at the Harvard Humanitarian Initiative. Her research focuses on diabetes care in humanitarian settings and improving insulin access in low- and middle-income settings.

Emergency Care Session 🏥 with Dr. Morgan Broccoli, M.D., MPH, is an Emergency Medicine Physician at Brigham and Women’s Hospital with a robust background in emergency medicine and public health. She has extensive experience in clinical care, research, and leading international health initiatives. Her professional journey includes a residency in Emergency Medicine at Boston Medical Center and significant involvement with organizations such as the African Federation for Emergency Medicine (AFEM) and the World Health Organization (WHO). Morgan has been a dedicated advocate for global emergency medicine, serving on the board of the American Friends of AFEM since its inception and as the resident representative for the Global Emergency Medicine Academy (GEMA) from 2018 to 2019.

Throughout her career, Morgan has focused on improving emergency care systems, particularly in resource-limited settings. As a consultant in the WHO’s Clinical Services and Systems Unit, she collaborates on initiatives to strengthen healthcare delivery and response frameworks worldwide. Her work emphasizes integrating acute care into health systems, bridging gaps in healthcare access, and fostering innovative solutions to global health challenges. Morgan is committed to fostering collaboration, mentoring the next generation of healthcare professionals, and promoting equitable health outcomes globally.
