Tonight we had the honor of joining the Vienna Christmas Parade, and there’s just something special about moments like this. Small towns have a way of wrapping you up in community, kindness, and connection — and tonight was a perfect reminder of that.

Seeing familiar faces lining the streets, kids waving with pure excitement, and neighbors greeting neighbors… that’s the magic of Vienna. It’s the kind of place where traditions still matter and where people truly show up for each other.

We’re grateful to be part of this community, to serve it, and to celebrate with it.

Dorchester County EMS would like to extend a big congratulations to the Dorchester County Sheriff’s Department for their victory over the Cambridge Police Department in the Taco Showdown, sponsored by Taqueria Floritas!

At the end of the day, everyone was a winner, all proceeds from this fun and spirited event will go toward supporting the Community Thanksgiving Dinner. Thank you to all who participated and helped make a difference in our community!!

Last week, Dorchester County EMS responded to a tragic incident in our community. During the call, Kat Adams was not directly needed for patient care but chose to remain on scene to comfort a grieving mother.

The Dorchester County Sheriff’s Office later reached out to share that the mother wanted to express her gratitude for Kat’s compassion and kindness during an unimaginably difficult moment.

Kat’s actions remind us that EMS is not only about clinical care, it’s about people. Her empathy and professionalism reflect the values we strive to uphold every day.

It is with great sadness that we share the passing of William E. Watkins former Director and Paramedic of Dorchester Emergency Services. Bill was a dedicated leader whose vision and commitment left a lasting impact on our team and the community we serve.
