Whoops! We certainly don’t want anyone thinking that Tuesday training didn’t happen this past Memorial Day holiday week! We got so busy we are just getting around to sharing some of the fun…

Tuesday was another great day to train! Dogs, fawns, puppies, people…. Fawns???? Shhhhhh….. 🤫 💕
….and if you didn’t like the weather, you only had to wait about 20 minutes and see if it was more to your liking then 🤣

Fun finish to our 2026 Spring Cocker season at the MN club trial. Great weather and reasonable Spring cover, it was a good time. On Saturday I got 4th in the puppy with Zing Danae Steele . In the amateur Rosemary LoGiudice and Vito got 3rd. In the Open I got 4th with Lili Roxanne Fegley and 3rd and Guns with Obi. Though older, this was Obi's first all-age trial and it was very special to be able to get that ribbon for his Kevin and Allison Peterson.
On Sunday in the Open Lili got the Guns. Enzo Barb Fischer Boettcher got 2nd for his first US all-age ribbon and got to do it in front of his mama. And the perfect cap to our season was seeing little Ms Kitty (Mary Lou Dunn) become a lion! She needed a win for her title and she did it, our whole training group loves that little black dog and are very proud of her.

A Very Happy Birthday to FC Fallen Wings “Ginger” ( aka Lala ) owner Scott Fitzgerald. She gets to be grandma Ginger on her 11th birthday…. Lots of little Ginger Jedi’s arriving today!! Good luck to her daughter Wheezy !

Great weekend across the country for team LHK. Out in New York Bryan Miller and Jewel got 2 Amateur 2nd places. At the Northern MN Springer trial Steve and Timber Dawn Orlebeke won the Amateur for their 2nd consecutive win.
Here near home the Cocker Enthusiasts club held a proper Cocker trial, running in woods and brush. We all got cut up and it was great!!
The first trial I got 2nd in the Puppy with Zing Danae Steele and Zara Labrenz won the puppy with Pebbles. Matt Nordahl and Harper won and Guns the Amateur. In the Open Char Rumi Schroeder got her first all-age ribbon with the Guns award and Lili got 2nd. In the second trial Kevin McGlin and Dexter got Amateur 3rd and Vickie Dahlk and Henry got Amateur 2nd. In the Open Enzo Barb Fischer Boettcher got his first US Open ribbon with the 4th. Gus got 3rd. And Lili Roxanne Fegley won and Guns. We all had lots of fun!

We'll start this post with a huge congratulations to Troy Gawronski and Flint who won the St Croix Amateur stake up in MN last weekend. We are very pleased to have Troy healthy and his dog well trained!
Out in Utah Gunther and Joker got Open 2nd, waiting on that win now for his FC.
Here at home at the Central Wisconsin trial we had some sun and snow and wind. Friend Tate and Tinman got Open 1st on Saturday and 2nd on Sunday to continue their Spring excellence. The rest of us got lots of stuff also! On Saturday I won the puppy with Zing Danae Steele . In the Amateur Dawn Wilson Schuster got 4th with Dude and Matt Nordahl got 3rd with Harper. I got Open 4th with Monte Keith Buesing putting him at 97 career All-age points.
On Sunday Rosemary LoGiudice and Vito won the Amateur and got Guns with a wonderful 3rd series. I got Open 4th with Dixie Davis Bruorton , 3rd with Lili Roxanne Fegley , and the win with Gus.
