Dear all,

I am immensely grateful to my wife Margie, family, friends, committee members and loyal supporters who generously contributed their time and effort to our campaign during this year's 2 election seasons, for the Primary on June 7th and for the General Election Nov 8th.

Want to thank my fellow residents from Division 4 “Calexico & Southeast portion of Heber plus surrounding areas”, for honoring me with your vote on both elections at the polls and by absentee ballot.

Likewise I extend all my appreciation and love to my Campaign Manager (and my adopted Nina) Loli Mercado Torres, for her continuing service, guidance, persistence, and affection, and to her family for extending their acceptance and support for the family sacrifices she has made for the sake of our campaign.

Today's unofficial final results indicate a difference of 29 votes in favor to the opponent. However, there are still absentee votes that could make a difference in the official final results. The Official Final Results will be posted within 3 weeks if not sooner. Since it is such a close race the County Elections Department will very likely double check the results before making their official announcement.

I take a look to the past that was just a preparation, give thanks for the lessons, and move forward to create a brighter future for our community, either as your next IID Director for Division 4 or as a fellow citizen.

Good Morning All,

This campaign for IID Div. 4 from March when filed, June Primary when we were the top vote-better, August to restart campaign for the General Election, and now The Election upon us Tuesday Nov 8th, all this has been demanding on ‎ everyone, either with time, treasure or talent. Sacrifices by so many, and from all campaigns, and resting not when clock hits 8 pm when no one else can vote, but until the results are finalized and officially reported.

Speaking of treasures, during this I have made sure I did not lose focus on the love of my life, my wife Margie.

Her birthday was on October and we ‎took a time-out from the campaign to spend time together in San Diego with our kids.

We agreed to take a time-out for ourselves to celebrate our 33 years some time after Election Day. We have Mrs. Servin's Funeral Services today, so today we mourn with her family and friends.

Now to today, November 5th, 33 years ago to the day she said "I Do". I have been happily married and look forward to the next chapters in our marriage not just for us both, but now witnessing our kids' lives evolving from students to their dream carriers, single to marriage and having kids of their own.

I love her for her, for the 'cariños' she extends me, for being my wife, for being the mom she is, for sharing her love and care for others, God blessed me by making sure Margie would be by my side in good times and bad, and she has been as I have with her.

For everything and so much more, I look forward for the next 33 years, or whatever God's plans are going forward, I have been Blessed by Him.
