Unfortunately, the West Buxton Public Library will be closed tomorrow, June 2. After working on Sunday, I found that my recently injured foot became quite swollen and needs more rest and elevation than I had realized. I will be spending some extra time recovering before my orthopedic appointment on Wednesday.

I apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your understanding. Thank you for your patience, and I look forward to seeing everyone back at the library soon!

🚨🚨And ANOTHER exciting addition to the West Buxton Public Library catalog just in time for summer break!

We have passes for the Children's Museum & Theatre of Maine!
Come in during our open hours to get a photocopy of the page showing "50% off Admission pass" - there's a barcode under our library card that they'll scan & take the copy from you.

The library director will sign & date the copy you're provided to let 4 people in at 50% off - there must be at least 1 adult and 1 child in each party. It will only be good for the date the director puts on the pass.

You will be responsible additional costs associated with additional people, special programs, and parking.

Our hours are:
Tuesdays 4-8pm
Thursdays 4-8pm
Sundays 12-4pm

🚨🚨JUST IN!! Just in time for summer vacation!

We now have a Maine Wildlife Park passbook!

What does this mean?!
It means that library patrons can come in when we're open to grab passes to get reduced entry into Maine Wildlife Park! Each pass is for ONE person and reduces the entry fee to 5$ per person. The pass you pick up from the library must not be photocopied - they'll only accept originals.

These passes are good for the entire 2026 season for Maine Wildlife Park. For more information about Maine Wildlife Park, please head to their website at mainewildlifepark.com

As a reminder, we are CLOSED Sunday 24 May for Memorial Day but we'll be back on Tuesday, 26 May, at 4pm for you to grab some passes!

Happy Thursday! It's PJ Storytime tonight at 630pm and we hope you'll join us!

The books are geared towards lower elementary but Library Director Caroline will adjust depending on the age of the kiddos who show up.

We're open tonight from 4-8pm!

Happy Friday Buxton!

Just a reminder that library hours are as follows:
Tuesdays 4-8pm
Thursdays 4-8pm
Sundays 12-4pm

We will be closed on Sunday 24 May in observance of Memorial Day.

And will we potentially be closed on Tuesday 12 May and Thursday 14 May - any official closure notices will be posted to our page at a minimum (we may miss updating it on Instagram)
