Please note that Town Hall will be closed on Monday while a new roof is installed.

Although the office will be closed to in-person visitors, Village staff will work remotely and be available during normal business hours to answer phone calls, assist residents, and respond to any questions or concerns that may arise.

⚠️ PLEASE RESPECT SEWER OUTFALLS, EASEMENTS & PRIVATE PROPERTY ⚠️

The Village of Alamance has received several complaints regarding four-wheelers and ATVs being ridden on sewer outfalls/easements, private property, and construction areas, particularly in the Heritage Glen area.

Four-wheelers have damaged the ground and vegetation along sewer outfalls. Maintaining vegetation in these areas is important because it helps stabilize the soil and prevent erosion and washouts. These areas must also remain accessible for inspection and maintenance of the Village’s sewer infrastructure.

Ramps and other obstacles have been constructed in some of these areas. Our maintenance contractor has removed these structures and left notices requesting that riders stay out.

Please remember that sewer easements are maintained for utility access and may cross privately owned property. They are not recreational trails. Construction sites and other privately owned property should not be entered or used for recreational riding without the property owner’s permission.

We respectfully ask you to help us protect these areas by keeping four-wheelers and ATVs off sewer outfalls/easements, construction sites, and private property.

We appreciate everyone’s cooperation in protecting Village infrastructure, preventing erosion, and respecting others' property.

The Village of Alamance will hold a shred day on Friday, August 14th 2026, at Town Hall from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
You are welcome to drop off any bagged or boxed papers for shredding at the office starting August 3rd during business hours, if you can't make it out to the event.
