🔥Structure Fire🔥
Early this morning, our crews were dispatched to a reported structure fire in the 4000 block of Burlington Pike. First-arriving units were met with heavy fire conditions and immediately began an aggressive attack to contain the fire. Crews faced intense fire conditions, water supply challenges, and rapidly changing fire behavior. Firefighters performed defensive operations, protected exposures, and adjusted strategies as conditions evolved, all while maintaining firefighter safety. Thanks to the quick coordination and hard work of our teams, the fire was successfully brought under control. We would like to thank our mutual aid partners for their assistance on the scene.

Lots of snow is expected to fall over the next few days. Here are some tips to help,
❄️Keep your fire hydrants clear of snow.
❄️Stay home, Stay safe, Stay warm!
❄️If you do have to leave remember to drive safely!
❄️Use generators away from house or garage.
❄️Keep space heaters at least 3ft away from anything flammable and never leave them unattended.

❄️Snow Update: 1/23 ❄️
Significant snowfall is expected this weekend. County officials are planning and preparing. Here’s what you need to know.

❄️8-10+ inches is forecasted over the weekend, with most accumulation on Sunday.
❄️Crews will head out on Saturday to begin salting roads ahead of the significant snowfall.
❄️Snow crews will be out 24/7 in alternating shifts.
❄️White-out conditions are possible on Sunday.
❄️Due to freezing temperatures, rate of snowfall and hazardous conditions, snow crews will focus on primary roads and assisting emergency personnel.
❄️Side streets and cul-de-sacs will be addressed as soon as possible, but please be prepared that the storm impact cause delays.

Here’s how you can help:
✅Move cars off the road. Cars on the road will be snowed in and make it impossible for plows to clear streets curb to curb.
✅Stay home. Stay warm. Stay safe.
✅Share storm updates and information only from reputable sources. (The County will be providing daily snow updates as well as critical safety information.)
