In preparation of tomorrow’s event, we’re proud to recognize the powerful role Burlington County played in the Underground Railroad.

Right here in Burlington County, brave abolitionists and Quaker families risked their safety to help enslaved individuals escape to freedom. The Underground Railroad wasn’t a physical railroad but a secret network of homes, churches, and community members who believed deeply in justice and human dignity.
