Today is National Voter Registration Day! You can register online at lavote.gov or pick up a voter registration card in the City Clerk’s Office or at any Burbank library.

We encourage residents to check their voter registration status at lavote.gov/vrstatus. If your name has changed or if you have moved, you will need to re-register by the deadline of October 19.

The Burbank City Clerk’s Office and the Burbank Unified School District are happy to announce the start of the 2026 Clerks’ Cup. This friendly competition between John Burroughs High School and Burbank High School is held annually to see which high school can register the most voters. The contest ends September 25th. The trophy will be presented to the winning school at the October 13th City Council Meeting and the October 15th Board of Education Meeting.

Members of the public are welcome to pick up a voter registration card at the City Clerk’s Office or at any Burbank library and can register online at www.lavote.gov

The Write-In Period for Candidate Nominations will open September 7 through October 20, 2026 at 5:00 p.m.

Persons wishing to qualify as a Write-In Candidate will need to contact the City Clerk’s Office to obtain nomination papers, pay a $25 filing fee, and obtain not less than fifty (50) nor more than one hundred (100) signatures from registered voters in Burbank.
