What does the results show?

The last census completed in 2020 showed Bunkie had 3346 people. Not all are eligible to vote but out 3346 people roughly 900 voted.

The question?
If you were eligible to vote why didn't you?
Is it that it's unimportant or that you don't trust politicians or the system? If it's trust we as elected officials need to work to gain trust. If it's not important then don't complain if things are not the way you want

Question?
If voting is not the way you prefer to get involved how do you intend on getting involved to make a change?
-you could attend town meetings every 2nd Thursday @6
-you can get involved in organizations working throughout the community
-voice what is wrong with possible solutions

Now that the election is over we can now focus on the transition into a new Era. Though the only change is the Chief of police we still enter into a new term with either a new plan or a refined plan. The work done last term was great but that was last term. We must continue thinking of ways to grow Bunkie to be safer, cleaner and prosperous. What I have learned in my years of doing this is to bring a safer, cleaner and more prosperous Bunkie in to existence its going to take all hands on deck. No elected official alone can do it. Not even the body of elected officials can. We need every person regardless of titles or positions to put their hands to the plow. We need goals and plans. We must work together doing whats best for our city. Let's all get involved. Actions shows your heart more than words.

Be the change you seek
Work to make a change
Get involved to make a change
Change comes from hard work
Change don't come easy

If we want a better Bunkie we have to all get involved. Doesn't matter if you agree or disagree. Come to the table and as adults let's reason until we find common ground.
