I’m officially announcing my candidacy for Swain County Chairman of Commissioners

Swain County is home. I was raised here, built my business here, raised my family here, and have spent years serving this community as a volunteer firefighter and captain with the Bryson City Fire Department.

For more than two decades, I’ve owned a local business and served three terms on the Swain County Board of Elections. I understand how our county works — and where it needs to work better.

I’m running because I believe Swain County deserves:
• Transparent and accountable leadership
• Respect and order within county government
• Stronger communication with residents
• Improved infrastructure and public safety
• Partnerships that benefit both our residents and our future

If elected, I will work to ensure every dollar spent is accounted for, fight for grant funding to improve our roads and infrastructure, support emergency services, and build stronger relationships with Bryson City, the tribal community, surrounding counties, and our tourism partners — while always keeping residents first.

This campaign is about teamwork, respect, and moving Swain County forward together.
