I’m excited to share with you all that I will be running for Swain County Clerk of Superior Court in the 2026 election. I’ve had the honor of working in the Swain County Clerk’s Office for nearly 23 years, and before that, I spent 5 years working with the late Fred Moody, a respected attorney in our community. I was hired by Helen Styles in 2003, and since then, I’ve worked under Hester Sitton and now Misti Jones, who will be retiring at the end of her term. Through the years, I’ve gained hands-on experience in every part of the Clerk’s Office, and I’ve learned the importance of treating every person who walks through our doors with kindness, respect, and fairness. I truly love this job, and I care deeply about the people of Swain County. If elected, I will continue to keep the Clerk’s Office running smoothly, efficiently, and with the same professionalism that folks in Swain County have always counted on. My goal is simple: to continue serving this community I love, and to do it with honesty, heart, and hard work. I would be honored to have your support and your vote in 2026.
