If you experienced flooding in your home from last weeks storm:

1. Did you basement flood AND do you have oil heat, or did you before your current method of heating?
2. Do you have an oil tank in your house, even if you don't use it?
3. Does your home or basement smell strongly like oil?
4. Did your tank move, whether it leaked or not?
5. Can you see oil on the water, either pink or a rainbow sheen?
6. Look at the outside of the house for oil tank fill and vent pipes, are they crooked?

If you answered YES to any of these questions, please give the Maine DEP a call and have a DEP responders come and look at your situation. There is no cost for Maine DEP to visit your home. Because of the impact of this storm, please understand that it may take a little extra time for responders to get to you.
