🚑Closer Care, Faster Response, A Life Saved🚑

Just 48 hours after our Scotts Hill station went live, we witnessed exactly why this expansion matters.

A resident in the southern part of Henderson County experienced a life-threatening medical emergency requiring immediate care.

Before the placement of our Scotts Hill unit, the estimated EMS response time to this area would have been approximately 35 minutes. Thanks to the new Scotts Hill station, our crew arrived in just 16 minutes.

Upon arrival, our team quickly recognized the severity of the situation and expedited transport that included rapid coordination for air medical transport to definitive care.

It was later determined the patient was suffering from a critical aortic blockage that required emergency surgery.

Because of faster access to emergency medical care, precious time was saved. In emergencies like this, time truly means everything.

This is exactly the kind of access to emergency medical care, Ambulance Services of Lexington strives to provide to all our communities. The life impacted that day, and the many lives that will continue to be impacted, are a true testament to the mission of Ambulance Services of Lexington: providing high-quality, lifesaving care to the communities we proudly serve.

We are grateful for the opportunity to serve and proud to stand ready when our communities need us most.

Great things happening within our services one step at a time. Patient care is our top priority!

Great things happening within our services one step at a time. Patient care is our top priority!

A dedicated ambulance is now based in Scotts Hill for the first time, a move expected to cut down on response times for people in southern Henderson and Decatur counties.
