🌈 We Will Not Be Erased Rally! 🌈

In response to the Governor’s order to paint over Fort Lauderdale’s rainbow crosswalks, we’re coming together to show that our community cannot and will not be erased.

📅 When: Saturday, August 30 ⏰ Time: 9:30 AM – 11:00 AM 📍 Where: Fort Lauderdale Beach — Sebastian St & A1A (beach side)

Crosswalks aren’t the problem. Hate is. ✨ Illuminate Love!

This is the moment to show up and be heard. Our flag is more than fabric — it’s a symbol of visibility, inclusion, and pride. And right now, it needs all of us to stand up for it.

Join the Democratic Environmental Caucus of Florida as we celebrate our environmental movement and contemplate how we rise to the challenges of this new political era.

Featured speakers are:

Richard Grosso, Land Use and Environmental Attorney

Shannon Estenoz, former Assistant Secretary of the Interior for Fish and Wildlife and Parks.

They will discuss Florida and national environmental issues and answer questions from the audience. Moderating will be Rock Aboujaoude, Jr., DECF Youth Engagement Committee Chair.

After the end of the event, the DECF state President, John Capece, and Vice President, Judy Freiberg, will be available to answer questions from those interested in joining or creating a DECF chapter in their county.
