Very sad night for Bristol as we came together as ONE to honor our Fallen Officers. I couldn't be prouder of this city who stood side by side to be together and mourn for these courageous officers. This tragedy had an unmeasureable impact on us all. We are BRISTOL ALL HEART and tonight we proved that!

I also want to Thank all of the surrounding Police Departments who came out tonight to honor and be with us at this time. 💙🖤💙🖤

CONGRATULATIONS to Carlolyn Kielma, to Bristol Public Schools, and to Bristol Eastern High School! It was an honor to attend this morning's assembly to announce Carolyn Kielma, a science teacher at Bristol Eastern High School, who has been selected as Connecticut’s 2023 Teacher of the Year, the state’s highest recognition honoring extraordinary teachers. This is the first time a teacher from the City of Bristol has been selected for this honor!

Governor Lamont and Commissioner Russell-Tucker this morning delivered the news to Kielma during a surprise visit to the high school, which was followed by a schoolwide assembly celebrating the recognition with the honoree’s fellow educators, family, and students from both schools.
