Yesterday, I was honored to be invited to be part of the Family Law Forum, which was attended by Michigan Supreme Court Justice Cavanaugh, Circuit Court Judges from across the state, mental health professionals, financial experts, and leading family law practioners. We engaged in important discussions regarding parental estrangement, alienating behaviors, and strategies for family reunification within the court system.

As a candidate for the 44th Circuit Court Judge, I believe that a judge’s commitment to education must be ongoing. I am dedicated to continuous learning and growth, ensuring that if elected, I will bring the most current knowledge to every case I oversee.

Today’s lunch stop was the Ivy Table. Huge thanks to our Livingston County Sunrise Rotary “unofficial fun director,” Tom Archer, for arranging our lunch (fun fact: we graduated from Brighton High, over ?!!?! years ago! Go Dawgs!)! If you haven't been yet, check out The Ivy Table. Their commitment to our community is exactly what fuels my vision for community-centered justice.

VICTORY FOR VOTERS! 🎉 Andrea Banfield will officially appear on the August primary ballot for 44th Circuit Court Judge

Despite an attempt by an individual to challenge Andrea’s candidacy and invalidate hundreds of supporters’ signatures—an attempt to limit options for the Livingston County Voters—the bipartisan Michigan Board of Canvassers ruled unanimously in her favor on May 21. (See article in comments)

With this distraction behind us, it's full steam ahead to the August primary!

Today I learned about the blue paint splash in downtown Howell. The purpose is to draw attention to the Art Doing Good project, a non-profit that uses community inspired art to tell local stories and connect people to non-profits throughout Livingston County. Our community thrives due its community volunteers and our elected officials. I am running to be your next 44th Circuit Court Judge to ensure that justice is served and that every neighbor receives a fair and efficient hearing—if you value a community-focused judge, please share this post to help spread the word about my campaign and Art Doing Good! #

Spent an inspiring Friday at Livingston Sunrise Rotary and Catholic Charities Salute the Stars! 🌟 Explored the incredible success of Livingston County’s Veteran Treatment Court, which helps our serviceman overcome challenges like substance abuse, PTSD, and traumatic brain injury to lower recidivism. Through veteran mentors and support from agencies like Catholic Charities, Livingston County Veteran Treatment Court is truly making a difference.

As Memorial Day weekend concludes, I want to extend a heartfelt thank you to our veterans for their sacrifices, everyone who supports them, and most of all those who sacrificed their lives serving our country.

Livingston County thrives when we elect a Judge who understands our community's needs firsthand. Vote Banfield, Aug 4, 2026! 🗳️

I spent my day in Grand Rapids working as an elected member of the Family Law Council. The council has been working tirelessly to create legislation to ensure consistency in judicial assignments for family law matters, paired with proper training for the judges who handle family law cases.

Across the state, family law matters represent the largest case filings in our circuit courts, including right here in Livingston County. This is why experience matters. With over 25 years of experience serving families in our community, I am ready to bring that expertise to the bench.

When justice works better, families are stronger, and our community thrives.
