Dear BAS Families, Students, Staff, & Friends,

I wanted to send you all a quick note of appreciation related to yesterday's bond election. While the district came up a little short, I was incredibly proud of our BAS school community throughout this campaign. So many people stepped up to share factual information, and your level of commitment to our students shined through brightly. Elections can be divisive at times, but I was really proud of the unity of purpose shown among our parents, staff, students, and friends.

My biggest takeaway from this election, despite the setback, is that our brightest days are still ahead of us. We need to use this to propel us forward and to strengthen our resolve on behalf of our children.

In closing, I wanted to say thank you again and to share how proud I am of the Brighton family. Have a great remainder of the week, and Go Dogs!

Matt Outlaw, Superintendent
