October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month and I'm continuing my video series with Cortney Marengo from Laurel House to educate our community about these issues. In this video, we discuss the reasons a person may not feel able to leave an abusive situation and how we can support our neighbors. As always, if you are experiencing abuse or are concerned for a friend, please contact our Borough of Bridgeport Police Department and they will handle your case with the care and respect you deserve.

With Halloween just a few days away and BooPort well underway, what are your favorite scary movies?

Personally, I'm not much of a fan of horror. The real world is scary enough! But I did love the Paranormal Activity movies. When I was younger, my friend and I enjoyed Killer Klowns from Outer Space.

I promise you my BooPort costume is not that scary!
