On this Thanksgiving I want to share my thankfulness for many things.

1. Thank you to my husband who always supports me no matter what. He stands beside me in all my endeavors. When I told him I was interested in running for school board he said “Let’s do it!”

2. Thank you to those who supported me from the moment I said I was interested in running for the school board. There was a team behind the scenes helping me, supporting me, sharing ideas and just being all around amazing human beings. They care SO MUCH about our community, the kids in our community and the future of our community and they want to make sure there is space for them here always.

3. Thank you to those who supported me through fundraising, you helped me get my name out there and I appreciate you!!

4. Thank you to the voters of our city! While I didn’t win the election, so many voters turned out to support our school district’s kids. My hope is that the school board continues to support the students, the teachers and staff of all of our amazing schools and that our students continue to be led in positive ways!

I hope all of you have a wonderful Thanksgiving, filled with gratefulness, cheer and belonging. As the holiday season continues, please be kind, courteous and remember to give yourself and others grace.

Life is worth living to the fullest, and it’s better because you’re here ❤️

A note to our Bremerton community —

I am aware of a recent social media post from a current Bremerton School Board member that makes false and divisive claims about me. I won’t be responding in kind or engaging in negativity.

While she has never spoken with me personally to ask about my ideas, goals, or intentions, she is entitled to her opinion. I want to assure the community that my focus remains on supporting students, teachers, families, and our community as a whole in a positive way.

I’ve spent my life in Bremerton - I was raised here, educated here, raised my family here, and am proud to still call this community home. Over the years, I’ve proudly supported Bremerton as a student, athlete, parent, coach, mentor and advocate for our schools.

My focus has always been on helping our students succeed, supporting our teachers and strengthening the connection between our schools and our community.

I believe our school board should represent all of Bremerton with professionalism, integrity, respect and collaboration - which is what I will continue to do throughout this campaign and beyond.

Ballots are out, and your voice truly matters.
Whether you mail in your ballot or drop your ballot off in one of the many local ballot drop boxes, please make sure your vote is counted by November 4th.

Together, we can continue building Strong Schools and a Strong Bremerton!

The US Postal Service recommends, and we agree, that if you're using the mail to return your ballot, mail it at least a week ahead of election day, November 4. Ballots will be mailed to you next week.

Bremerton, today’s the day for the primary election!

A lot of us vote by mail, but in case you didn’t get your ballot in the mail or if you prefer to vote in person, here are the places you can vote and the times they’re open!

Vote centers are open today and tomorrow for voters needing replacement ballots, new voters wanting to register and those who want to vote in person.
