Bremen Fire Dept.

Bremen Fire Dept. Bremen Fire Department The department holds an annual fire prevention class for school children, day cares, adults, and senior citizens.

The Bremen Fire Department is committed to serving the Town of Bremen, Indiana, and German Township of Marshall County, Indiana, by protecting life, property, and the environment. Responsible for 63 square miles of fire protection, the department continually improves the quality of service by being well-equipped, using the latest available technology, and by highly-trained and motivated personel.

From fire suppression to our emphasis on fire prevention and Safety education, the department has always worked diligently to meet the changing needs of our community. The Town of Bremen maintains a Class-5 fire insurance rating (also known as the Public Protection Classification), which is determined by a survey conducted by the Insurance Service Office (ISO). The survey includes 3 critical areas: (1) fire alarm handling, which includes the 911 telephone system and dispatch capabilities; (2) available water supply for fire protection and; (3) staffing and firefighting equipment maintained by the fire department. The fire department is funded by the Town of Bremen, German Township Trustee, and an Advisory Board, along with donations from the Bremen Volunteer Fireman's Association, Inc., and from members of the community.

🚨📬 Watch Your Mail, Bremen! 📬🚨

The Bremen Volunteer Firemen’s Association has officially kicked off our 2026 Special Fund Drive, and donation letters are hitting mailboxes this week!

This year, we are raising funds to help purchase new extrication equipment — critical tools used during automobile accidents to quickly and safely remove victims who may be trapped. These tools allow our firefighters to provide faster access to life-saving medical care when every second counts.

Our goal is to raise $20,000 to invest in updated equipment that will directly benefit our community.

💌 When you receive the mailing, please take a moment to read it and consider making a donation. Every contribution — no matter the amount — helps us continue protecting the ones you love.

As a special thank-you, families who donate will receive an opportunity for a complimentary 8x10 studio portrait, with photo sessions taking place at the Bremen Fire Station on Sunday, March 22, 2026.

You can return your donation by mail or use the Venmo QR code included in the letter for convenient giving.

Your continued support is the lifeblood of our department. Because of you, we’re able to keep our equipment up to date and our community safe.

❤️ Thank you, Bremen, for always standing behind your volunteer firefighters!
