📢 WE THE PEOPLE, NOT WE THE WEALTHY 📢
The recent "Epstein Files" aren't just a window into the lives of the elite—they are a textbook example of why we must Move to Amend.
When associates of powerful figures sit in private, discussing how federal policies—like the rollbacks of Title IX protections—can be used to help them "throw out" misconduct cases, it reveals a system where the law is no longer a shield for the vulnerable, but a tool for the powerful.
The Crisis of Corporate Rule
For too long, the Supreme Court has sold our democracy to the highest bidder through disastrous rulings like Citizens United:
Money is NOT Speech: When a billionaire can spend hundreds of millions to influence an election, the voices of everyday people are drowned out.
Corporations are NOT People: Artificial entities and wealthy donors use "constitutional rights" to buy access, write their own regulations, and evade accountability.
Policy by the 0.01%, for the 0.01%
From environmental deregulation that gifts "billionaire polluters" to the dismantling of consumer protections, we are seeing what happens when positions of power are "auctioned" instead of earned. This isn't just about one politician or one party—it's a structural crisis that requires a structural solution.
The Solution: The "We the People" Amendment
Move to Amend is calling for a no loopholes Amendment to the Constitution to unequivocally state:
Constitutional rights belong only to natural, living human beings—not corporations or artificial entities.
Money is property, not speech, and must be regulated to ensure a fair and transparent democratic process.
It’s time to take our democracy back from the oligarchy. ✊
