Nearly a year ago the Select Board made a commitment to improving safety at the intersection of Linden Street and Mile Hill Road. For the last several months we have worked with CMRPC and MassDOT and have received their final recommendation for a four way stop and other improvements.

The Select Board will review the final report and vote on this matter at our June 15th meeting. Residents are encouraged to attend.

Another great parade and solemn ceremony to honor the men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice.

While many other towns cancelled their parade, WE DID NOT!!

It was great to recognize and thank the Larkin family for their many years of dedication to this treasured town event.

I want thank the Memorial Day Parade committee, largely our American Legion Post that includes Brian Pierce (Chair), Casey Donovan, Vice Chair, Jim Brown and Tom Blanchard, Clerk.

I want to thank the sponsors and those that had a table or tent on the common.

Thank you to our Highway Dept, Fire Dept, Police Department and those in town hall who provided support for support.

It was great to recognize some truly amazing work that resulted in a new publication called Boylston Veterans of the Revolutionary War- The Alarm of 1775; the culmination of over two years of countless hours of research and writing in which the researchers endeavored to use original source material.
Tho book recounts how 47 brave men from the area now known as Boylston responded on that fateful day to the Alarm of 1775 under the command of Captain Robert Andrews. Researchers & Authors include Pat Bartram, Nancy Filgate, James Flagg, Merry Hill, and Vicky Triolo.

Next year will be even bigger; more to come.

Last night, the City of Boston and the entire firefighting community suffered a devastating loss with the line of duty death of Boston Firefighter Robert “Bobby” Kilduff Jr., a 24 year veteran of the Boston Fire Department and a proud United States Marine.

My heart goes out to his family, loved ones, and his brothers and sisters of the Boston Fire Department.

These are the dangers that firefighters face 24 hours a day, seven days a week. They run toward danger while others are running out. They do it without hesitation, with courage, honor, and an unwavering commitment to protecting complete strangers.

A Marine. A firefighter. A hero.

May Firefighter Robert Kilduff Jr. rest in eternal peace, and may we never forget the sacrifice he made in service to others.

We are finalizing the Committee that will work on our town's Capital Plan and have one opening for a resident to participate.

This is a great opportunity to get involved and have direct input in our plan. The town has a lot of capital assets including buildings, equipment, and vehicles that will be included in the plan. Important for us to understand investment needed to maintain our capital assets and to have a three to five year view.

Financial management experience not required.

If interested, please complete and submit a Volunteer to Service application.
