The world has lost an incredible human being who used all her gifts and talents to touch minds and hearts. She never forgot her roots. She knew her strength and guidance came from God and asked to be channel to bless the world every time she sang. Our heartfelt condolences to her family and friends. Thank you Dolly for all that you gave. May your life be an inspiration to persevere, have faith and do whatever you can to make the world a better place for everyone. The children are depending on us.

On Memorial Day, we offer our deep gratitude to all the men and women who have served our nation — and to those who made the greatest sacrifice with their lives.

The greatest way we can honor them is to cherish the values they died for: freedom, dignity, and the belief that every human being matters.

Their sacrifice reminds us of a truth at the heart of the Sun Poem:

Are you greater than the sun
that shines on everyone: Black,
Brown, Yellow, Red and White
the sun does not discriminate.
