Sometimes it just takes asking.

This old, rusty, graffiti covered mail storage box had been sitting here unused for more than a decade. After reaching out to the Postmaster, I learned it had simply been forgotten about. Since it’s federal property, the City couldn’t remove it ourselves, but the Postal Service was happy to take care of it.

A small change, but one that helps keep our little city looking cared for. 💙🏡

Our PW team is out painting curbs today and will continue throughout the summer in between the many projects that keep our city running.

We’re starting on Farnsworth and will keep making our way through the city. Fresh curb markings help improve safety, visibility, and the overall appearance of our neighborhoods and downtown.

It may seem like a small thing, but in one square mile, these small improvements add up.

If there’s a curb you’d like us to prioritize, or another PW issue we should know about, reach out at [email protected]. 💙🚧🎨

Today I joined Governor Mikie Sherrill as she announced new guardrails and transparency measures for data center development in New Jersey.

While these actions do not directly impact the proposed Falls Township project, Mayor Marter and I were able to speak with the Governor about the concerns being raised across our river communities.

I’m grateful she agreed to reach out to Governor Josh Shapiro and help elevate concerns around potential impacts to air quality, public health, and quality of life along the Delaware River.

Our communities deserve to be considered and informed, and we’ll continue keeping residents updated as we learn more.

If you’ve driven down East Church Street the last few days and noticed the cones and equipment, our Public Works team has been working on two major storm drain issues. One repair is already done and the second should wrap up tomorrow.

These guys are out every day handling road work, parks, trash pickup, watering flowers, tree trimming, and so much more that keeps our city running. Really thankful for them and all the care they put into Bordentown City!

📢 I submitted a public comment letter to the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection (PA DEP) regarding the proposed data center and large scale emergency generator permit planned roughly two miles across the Delaware River in Falls Township, PA.

The proposal raises important questions about potential impacts to our region, including air quality, noise, water usage, and public health.

While much of the project has already moved forward, this open permit comment period is one of the last opportunities for our community and region to formally raise concerns and request additional review. We must do everything we can to ensure our voices are heard and to impact this project to the best of our ability for the betterment of our community.

Today is the deadline to submit comments to PA DEP for the open air permit application. If you have concerns or questions, I encourage you to make your voice heard for our city and region.
