Kate Sullivan from Maryland Election Integrity needs 5 volunteers.
After Maryland's Election Board vendors potentially mailed (the exact # is not known) almost 500,000 wrong-party ballots to the homes of voters across Maryland, they applied a "blanket" bandaid that would normally be for just ONE wrong ballot. They REMAILED a new ballot to every single one of those voters. Confusion ensued, many valid votes will not be counted, and now we are uniquely positioned to help Maryland Election Integrity with their lawsuit.

Sunday will be 1 hour from your house. Easy! Monday begins at 9:30am at the Washington County Board of Elections on Virginia Ave. It could end as early as noon, but it could also take a few hours. Walking and extensive standing not required.

If you are looking to make a tangible difference, THIS IS IT.

Washington County has one of the closest races in the state, which is why Maryland Election Integrity has targeted this process in our county. The Washington County State's Attorney's race is currently separated by about 12 votes, with late mail-in ballots still to be counted. As a club, we are NOT taking sides in this race. Instead, this volunteer opportunity will help the integrity of all of our FUTURE elections. Our job as volunteers on Monday is to observe and capture information that will be used to help Maryland Election Integrity in a court case to make our election system more reliable and secure.

If you are able to serve in this capacity, please text (please do not call!) April Parrott at 240-313-5485 as soon as possible. I served as an Election Judge during Early Voting and on Primary Election Day, and while I applaud the integrity of our Election Director and Staff, I saw MANY opportunities where the secure-elections process could be compromised with an ill-intentioned worker.
