Hans Erickson was born in the Boone County Hospital and grew up in Boone. After he graduated from Boone High school he went on to Drake University where he studied history and was a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity. While he was at Drake he was the legal intern in Governor Culver's office and interned in the Iowa Senate Research Staff. Hans went back to Drake for a Masters in Public Admini

stration and will graduate in 2014. While he was working on his masters he clerked for State Senator Daryl Beall of Fort Dodge. Upon graduation, Hans entered the financial services industry with Farm Bureau and is now a Financial Advisor for Iowa Wealth Management. Hans plays trombone in the Boone Municipal Band and is a member of the Boone United Methodist Church. His parents, Ted and Beth Erickson, are retired teachers from Boone Community Schools.
