Some people leave the team… but they never really leave the family. 💙🦋
We got the BEST surprise visit this week from our sweet Alexa! She may have moved clear across the country, but a piece of her heart still remains with her hospice family!
Alexa was back in town for a much harder reason. When someone she loved needed hospice care, she trusted her former Auburn Crest family to care for them through the end of their life. That trust means more to us than we could ever put into words. ❤️
And because she is Alexa, she didn’t just stop by—she came bearing treats, goodies, lots of hugs, love and laughter!
Alexa has worked with another hospice since moving back east, and during her visit she shared something that touched us deeply. She said she still talks about the heart she experienced here and wishes she could find that same feeling in another team.
More than anything, hearing that reminded us how special the relationships formed in hospice can be—not only with our patients and families, but with each other.
Alexa, you have no idea what those words mean to us. Because THAT is exactly what we hope Auburn Crest will always be. Not just a place people work, but a team that loves deeply, cares fiercely, laughs together, cries together, and shows up for people during some of life’s hardest moments.
We miss you like crazy. We love you even more.
