Boise Idaho

Boise Idaho Idaho's Capital Boise was settled in 1863 near the confluence of the Boise & Snake Rivers, soon after gold was discovered in the general area.

When the Federal Government built the U.S. Assay Office in 1870 in Boise, the city became an economic mining hub and eventually the capital of the state of Idaho. Along with a state university and many historic monuments, Boise is also known as having the second largest concentration of Basque people in the United States.
