Friendly reminder that there will be a training exercise this Saturday May 2nd. Please avoid this area and find an alternative route.

🚧 TRAINING NOTICE – Blanchester Area 🚧

The Clinton County Local Emergency Planning Committee (LEPC), along with local first responders and partners, will be conducting a hazardous materials exercise on the morning of Saturday, 2 May in the Village of Blanchester.

📍 Location: Railroad St. & S. Church St.
🕘 Time: Approximately 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM

🚧 Road Closures:
- Railroad Street (near the exercise area)
- Portions of South Church Street near the intersection

If you’re in the area, you may see emergency vehicles, personnel in protective gear, and simulated smoke or v***r.

👉 This is only a training exercise. There is no danger to the public.

We encourage motorists to avoid the area and use alternate routes during this time.

Thank you for your patience as local agencies train to keep our community safe.

This Saturday, a training exercise will occur near Church and Railroad Streets, with road closures and emergency vehicles. This is a training exercise only, and there's no cause for concern. Clinton Co. Emergency Management Agency, Village of Blanchester, Blanchester EMS, and Blanchester Marion Township Fire Department are training together to ensure a quick and effective response when needed.

At approximately 330pm this afternoon units were dispatched to North Broadway for a reported basement fire thanks to Clinton-Warren Joint Fire District, Jefferson Twp, Blanchester EMS, Blanchester PD.

Clinton - Warren Station 60 assisted Blanchester FD with a small fire in a basement today. Chief 60 and T61 responded to assist. Crews operated on the scene for approximately 45 minutes before being released by command.

Crews responded overnight mutual aid to Harlan Township Fire & Rescue

Harlan Township Fire and EMS crews worked over night at a residential structure fire on 123. The fire was called in by a neighbor who reported flames through the roof. No one was home at the time and there were no injuries. Harlan received assistance from Salem Morrow, Hamilton Township, Blanchester, Clinton Warren Joint Fire District, and Union Township. Area coverage was provided by the City of Mason and Clearcreek Township.

**IMPORTANT TRAFFIC INFORMATION**

This evening, FF/EMT Charlie Pell's visitation will take place from 6pm-8pm, at Tufts Schildmeyer Funeral Home near downtown Blanchester. We are anticipating a large presence of emergency vehicles and a large crowd for this. Please be patient if there are any traffic delays as we try to accommadate this many vehicles.

TOMORROW, December 17, is FF/EMT Pell's funeral service and procession. We will again be expecting a large presence of emergency vehicles from far and near, as well as a large crowd. There will be temporary traffic delays on Main, Columbus, and Center Streets before, during, and after the procession, which is expected to be large.

There will also be a firetruck parked on the shoulder of Main Street starting in the morning on Wednesday; traffic should not be affected, but we do ask that you drive slowly.

Main Street will temporarily be closed between Church and Broadway Streets from approximately 11:45am until 12:30pm or after. We ask that you be patient during this time, and keep this in mind if you will be traveling through.

Again, if you see a large presence of emergency vehicles, it is for FF/EMT Pell's visitation, service, and procession, and there is no need for concern.

We appreciate your patience, understanding, and respect during this time, while the family, friends, and work family of FF/EMT Pell honor him and say their final goodbyes.
