Do you know how much interest we pay on a 39 trillion dollar debt? It's 88 billion dollars a month. Let that sink in. Since Trump took office the debt is increasing by an average of 7.2 billion dollars a day thanks to tax cuts for corporations, the war in Iran, hundreds of billions to fund ICE and border patrol, and cuts to the IRS.

For a party that claims to be fiscally responsible, they sure are willing to use taxpayer money to fund things the majority of the American public do not want. From Heather Cox Richardson daily post on the additional $70 Billion given to ICE and Border patrol.

Senator Raphael Warnock (D-GA) notes that the $70 billion in tax money Republicans just gave to ICE and Border Patrol could provide free childcare for 1.3 million children through September 2028, cover the annual cost of groceries for about 10.7 million U.S. households, provide a year of Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits to 31 million Americans, expand the Affordable Care Act premium tax credits for at least a year, cancel about 31.5% of Americans’ medical debt, and end homelessness for about eight years. 🤦‍♂️
