🌟 RACCOON Fun Facts:
🦝 A mother raccoon usually has 2–5 babies in a litter.
🦝 Their famous black “mask” is already visible when they’re very young.
🦝 Baby raccoons begin exploring outside the den at about 8–10 weeks old.
🦝 Raccoons have incredibly sensitive front paws that help them identify food and objects, almost like having an extra set of eyes!
🦝 Young raccoons stay with their mother for up to a year, learning important survival skills.

While baby raccoons may look adorable and cuddly, they are wild animals that belong with their mothers whenever possible. If you find a baby raccoon alone, remember that mom is often nearby and may return for her youngster once the area is quiet.

WE NEED YOUR OPINIONS!!!!

who actually has the Patreon app on their phones? Do you guys still scroll and like things on there?

We are thinking about utilizing it more so this year than we have been other similar platforms and want to know how many of you will still be able to see content there, and what you’d like to see ?

A while back we had a little contest of naming an opossum,
And sweet Stephanie was the winning name!
She is still doing so fantastic, but is SO tiny.
She’s literally the size of a guinea pig instead of an opossum!
We adore her so much!

Another successful release!
Eastern cotton tail making their way back to the big outdoors, after a comforting push.
This is one of the very few species we don’t always do soft release with, especially with this age being when they would disperse naturally from a nest and leave just like this!

We hope you have the brightest future and life little buddy!

So new it still has the tag!

Thank you to the donors, not only for donating this kennel but also for donating their time and effort to get this built for two adult raccoons.

One of which was a quadriplegic who has made leaps and bounds in recovery and can now walk and climb!

Muffy said she wasn’t going to let 23 lacerations keep her down!

She’s doing SO well considering how bad off she was on arrival. We haven’t seen that many holes, and that strong of an infection in a while.

Did you know- rehabilitation for beavers is one of the longest rehabilitation times for any species?
They have to stay in rehab care for TWO years!
(Imagine that food and care bill!)

Fun fact number 2:
This is our directors FAVORITE animal! Not a cheetah, not a hippo, out of ANY animal on this planet… this is her hands down favorite.

I know everyone has been wanting an update on the little pied fawn,
He needs lots of healing vibes, prayers, and virtual hugs.

We have nipped his infection and that is no longer a great concern, however his gut health was very poor on arrival and we have been battling non-digestive issues and stomach ulcers since day one.

This is really taking its toll on this little boy and it’s looking grim

Today he is comfortable and in an incubator with oxygen and around the clock care and attendance.

Thank you all for cheering us and him on ❤️‍🩹
