I was thinking about this over coffee this morning…

What’s Your Completely Unpopular Opinion?
Today I want your most harmless, completely unpopular opinion.

Here’s the rule: no politics, no religion, no personal attacks.

I want the silly stuff.

For example I know people that think The top sheet is completely unnecessary or that Pineapple or spinach belongs on pizza.
Or maybe it’s things like
Christmas music before Thanksgiving is perfectly acceptable.

Chick-fil-A fries are overrated.

Most meetings could have beena text

The middle seat on a flight gets both armrests.
Being five minutes early is just being on time.

You don’t have to finish a TV series just because you started it.

Maybe you think ketchup belongs on eggs.

Maybe you think the beach is overrated.
Or maybe you think that people that clap when the plane lands are weird.. I mean we’re yall expecting a different outcome?

Maybe you think dogs are better than people.

I’m not saying you’re right.
I’m not saying you’re wrong.
I’m just saying I want to hear it.

So give me your completely harmless unpopular opinion.
Let’s see who agrees or disagrees. That’s today’s Coffee with Jay. Think about it, talk about it, and I’ll see you next time.

I was thinking about this over coffee this morning…

There’s got to be things that should be illegal but aren’t.

So Today I want to talk about things that should absolutely be illegal—but unfortunately, I don’t make the laws.

Things like People who stop at the top of an escalator.

Slow drivers who refuse to get out of the left lane.

Someone borrowing your car or boat and bringing it back empty.

And what about people Leaving one second on the microwave.

People leaving their mess on the kitchen counter after you’ve cleaned up
The kitchen.

Putting an empty container back in the refrigerator,
Or somebody who takes the last piece of something and leaves the empty container sitting there.

Now, obviously, I’m joking.
Mostly.
But everybody has those little things that make them irrationally angry.

So let’s hear yours.
What completely harmless behavior do you believe should be illegal?
And please remember: this is Coffee with Jay, not an actual legislative hearing. That’s today’s Coffee with Jay. Think about it, talk about it, and I’ll see you next time.

I think one of the most dangerous sentences in life is: ‘That’s just the way I’ve always done it.

Because that sentence can keep you stuck for years.
Sometimes we defend an old habit simply because it’s familiar or comfortable.
I had a teacher a long time ago that used to say if you do what you’ve always done, you get what you always got.

But I’ll tell ya, getting older should mean getting wiser—not just getting older.
You’re allowed to change your mind.
You’re allowed to admit that something you believed ten years ago wasn’t right.
You’re allowed to learn something new and say, ‘You know what? I was wrong.’

Growth requires humility.
So here’s today’s Coffee with Jay question:
What’s something you’ve changed your mind about as you’ve gotten older?

And don’t worry—I might steal a few of your answers for future episodes.
That’s today’s Coffee with Jay. Think about it, talk about it, and I’ll see you next time.

10 morning habits that will help you build discipline, protect your focus, and start every day with purpose.

10. Move first before the world wakes up: One real block of work before the messages start and the phones ring. Own the morning, rent the rest!

Hey Neighbors, Welcome back to Myth Busters with Jay. Where we separate legal fact from legal fiction—one myth at a time.

Today’s topic: ‘If police don’t read you your rights, your case gets thrown out.’

Miranda rights generally apply when a person is both in custody and being interrogated.

If Miranda warnings should have been given and weren’t, certain statements may be excluded from evidence.
But that doesn’t automatically mean the entire case disappears.
The prosecution may still have other evidence that can be used.

Television has convinced a lot of people that Miranda violations end cases instantly.
Real life is usually more complicated than that.
So today’s topic of If police don’t read you your rights, your case gets thrown out. That’s a big fat MYTH!

I’m Jay Welborn, and that’s today’s Myth Buster. If you’ve heard a legal myth you’d like me to tackle, leave it in the comments. You just might see it in a future episode. So hit that like button, share it on your page and invite others to the conversation.
